Sight Loss Awareness webinar

Tourism South East and the charity Guide Dogs is running an awareness session on 18th April 2024 to promote sight loss awareness Sighted Guide techniques and help you understand the regulations and give you guideance on how to make your visually impaired guests welcome.

This session will be facilitated by a Guide Dogs Community Development Officer Tim Seamark-Coope and will cover:

• Eye conditions

• Emotional consequences of sight loss

• Challenges of vision impairment

• Access rights

• Sighted Guiding Techniques

When covering Sighted Guiding Techniques, we aim to impart useful hints and tips in order to promote best practice. Our sessions are not only about increasing knowledge and awareness, but also instilling confidence.
