Beautiful South Awards 2020
Each year we love to celebrate the very best tourism businesses and experiences the South and South East has to offer. Despite the pandemic this year is no different an we all need some good news to focus on and celebrate tourism, in a year when we have all had ot work so hard to survive.
With 18 categories to choose from including a new Innovation in Tourism category, there has been an array of opportunities for businesses to be recognised for their achievements over the last 18 months. As well as the kudos of being crowned the best of their kind in the South East and the raised profile that comes with being a finalist, all entrants receive feedback from independent judges who are experts in the field.
In this unprecedented year there were nearly 100 entries from across the region. The entrants were shortlisted from their entry forms and though an independent judging process, adapted to accommodate the restrictions to the industry.
Tourism South East is pleased to reveal 63 finalists, with 12 businesses also recognised with commended certificates. Finalists will learn whether they are celebrating a gold, silver, bronze or a special award at the online Awards event taking place on the 4th March 2021.
Fran Downton, Chief Executive of Tourism South East, said “We felt strongly that the Beautiful South Awards should go ahead this year. Recognising and celebrating the quality and excellence of our tourism business, in the face of adversity is really important to us. Tourism in the South East demonstrates national and world class offerings, and the entry standards to our awards are always high. This year was exceptionally challenging for our businesses and we are pleased to be able to deliver some well needed positivity and rewards”.
