Brown & White Tourist Signs - Directional signposts help make sure your guests can find you easily and can be a marketing tool for passing and future custom.  The responsibility for brown & white signs lies with two bodies; the Highways Agency on national trunk roads (motorways and other major routes) and local authorities (county and unitary authorities) on all other roads. To apply make contact contact with your local authority, they should be able to guide you through the application process. If you want brown & white signs on trunk roads or in neighbouring areas, your local authority should make the necessary liaison with the Highways Agency and neighbouring authorities.
