Updated: Jan 12

Keeping the group travel industry inspired and connected, from afar

Excursions™, one of the UK’s premier group travel shows, sadly, for the first time in 45 years, won't be able to welcome its visitors face to face. Show organisers, Tourism South East, makes the move to safe-guard attendees and instead offers a variety of activity to keep the industry inspired and connected.

Excursions™ has become a must-attend event in the travel trade calendar for tour operators, group travel organisers and itinerary planners. Following feedback from exhibitors and visitors, the Excursions event will now showcase a week of alternative activity from the Monday 25th to Saturday 30th January 2021. Offering a mailed hardcopy directory, online exhibitor directory including exhibitor profiles, downloadable brochures, contact requests, inspirational newsletters, promotional video gallery, exclusive show offers , social media posts and a daily ‘destination spotlight’ webinar program.

Feedback clearly shows the importance at this time to provide group travel inspiration, ready for when organiser and operators can once more plan and book visits, Visitors are eager to get out and about, exhibitors are still keen to inform and provide information for future trips. The event promises to ‘make a noise’ across a variety of media channels and bang the drum for the Group Travel Industry,

Fran Downton, Chief Executive at Tourism South East said ”We are confident the tourism and hospitality industry can bounce back from this pandemic, and are keen to welcome back our group travel friends as soon as it is safe to do so. In the meantime, we hope our virtual show programme and traditional activity will keep everyone inspired and planning whilst staying safe at home”.
