Tourism South East AGM and Tourism Conference 2019

Tourism South East welcomed over 75 guests to its free AGM & Conference on Thursday 26th September 2019 at Hilton at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton. Hampshire, SO30 3XH. Hilton at the Ageas Bowl is the stunning hotel located at the home of Hampshire Cricket in Southampton. The property boasts spectacular views across the iconic Ageas Bowl and Boundary Lakes, the venue’s 18-hole golf course.
Following a review of the 2018/19 year and presentation of the Financial Statements by TSE’s leadership team, Chairman Mark Smith gave an update and overview of some of the TSE achievments throughout the year which included another successful Excursions show and also congratulated Sue Gill, Director of Training for Welcome to Excellence on having reached over 4000 delegates attending thier courses.

Joss is an accomplished, entrepreneurial leader, who is delivery focused. His experience has given him a strong understanding of the international visitor economy and wider business, and the challenges facing organisations. He has a passion for developing people and delivering outstanding customer service.
Before joining UKinbound in November 2018, Joss was Managing Director of Marketing at the Department for International Trade, responsible for the marketing and communications programme for UK exports and investment including the delivery of the events programme of over 1,000 events per annum (including the prizewinning UK Pavilion at Expo Astana 2017). He was previously Marketing Director of VisitBritain, involved in the development of the award-winning GREAT Britain and NI campaign. Campaign successes include two gold and one silver awards at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity. Prior to that he was Regional Director for VisitBritain’s European source markets, Head of Business Visits and Events, and Manager of Strategic Partnerships. In February 2010 he was awarded Industry Personality of the Year by the readers of Meetings and Incentive Travel.

Jemma Fairclough-Haynes, ORCHARD Employment Law - Jemma Fairclough-Haynes is a Public Speaker, Co-Host of the business radio show Bunker Xtra and the Managing Director of award-winning business Orchard Employment Law. Jemma has a passion for small business.
Jemma has almost a decade of experience in Employment Law and she has represented businesses of various sizes in employment tribunals across the UK in many different types of claim.
Jemma is a great believer in pragmatism and seeks to provide HR support at an early stage. The services she provides include writing contracts, chairing disciplinary meetings, Employment Law advice and Diversity training. She understands that every business is different and has varying needs. Realising that employees know their rights, Jemma seeks to restore balance by helping businesses to know their rights and obligations in a language which they understand. She often says “Employment Law is not just about what you cannot do, it is also about what you can do”.
Jemma is a dynamic speaker who takes the bore out of Law. Her presentations have been described as “eye opening” “interesting and “refreshing”
Jemma has spoken at many events across the South East and even appeared on TV.
