In 2019 we have seen The Bombay Distillery Company, Hook Norton Brewery, Newbury Racecourse, Forest Holidays, Solent Hotel and Spa, Fontwell Racecourse and Painshill Park  to name but a few to renew their memberships with TSE. This is in addition to top-class attractions such as The National Museum of the Royal Navy,  Blenheim Palace, Denbies, Beaulieu and National Maritime Museum.

Major transport operators such as Gatwick Airport, Southampton International Airport and all the ferry operators to the Isle of Wight are also on board. Many award winning hotels, large and small, such as Chewton Glen;  The Grand Hotel, Holiday Inn, Away Resorts and The Montagu Arms Hotel are once again backing TSE.

We are also extremely pleased to have secured new members such as the new Hilton Hotel, Abingdon; Locked in a Room, Southampton; Active England; Oxfordshire, Lashendon Air Warfare Museum, Kent; Richmond Hill Hotel, Surrey; Bill's Restaurants, South East; City Cruises; Tapnell Farm Park, IOW;  Marsham Court Hotel, Bournemouth and Go Ape Bracknell Forest plus many more.  

Our experienced team will be continuing to deliver business support and opportunities for members to connect with each other, leading training and research programmes, highly successful international marketing campaigns and a well established group travel programme that will again culminate in the ‘Excursions’ event in January 2019. Helping businesses to get to grips with the challenges of the digital world will continue to be a priority in 2019. 

TSE’s important role in representing the interests of its members will continue. Despite the government’s commitments, unnecessary red tape remains a significant burden on the industry. By working closely with partners such as the Tourism Alliance, TSE can be effective in communicating issues and lending its weight to national lobbying campaigns.

TSE will also continue to play an important and complementary role as a provider of support, coordination, economies of scale and expertise to the emerging structure of Destination Marketing Partnerships (DMP’s) and Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP’s). TSE will be working together with these organisations to promote the South East by offering a range of local, regional and national opportunities for tourism and leisure-related businesses.
