"Connect with other areas of tourism"

Alison Brothers is an information advisor in the busy Tourist Information Centre in High Wycombe Buckinghamshire.

Situated in a deep valley, in the heart of the Chilterns, High Wycombe is the largest town in Buckinghamshire, having grown up during the 18th and 19th centuries around the furniture industry, and was once known as 'the furniture capital of England.'

Alison has worked in the tourism industry for over 20 years and has been on many of the Welcome to Excellence training courses.  Despite having a wealth of experience she chose to attend Welcome Host Gold as it was a new course and she felt it was important to keen up to date and refresh her customer care skills.

Alison said “the course was very good and the trainer was excellent. It was a great venue too. The City and Guilds exam option was a beneficial add on and I am proud to have passed.

I would recommend this course to my colleagues and it was useful to connect with other areas of tourism”
