2015 A record year for UK tourism

As part of the English Tourism Week celebrations, 89 MPs from across the House gathered at the Tourism Alliance Parliamentary Reception in Parliament to hear Secretary of State, John Whittingdale announce that 2015 was a record year for the UK tourism industry.

What’s Going On this Year?

It looks like tourism in the South East will have had another successful year in 2015 with record numbers of overseas visitors and another increase in domestic visitors. So, can we better that for 2016? The chances are we will, with a range of unique celebrations and events planned for the year. These include the opening of the new British Airways i360 in Brighton, the Queen’s 90th Birthday celebrations in Windsor and the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.
