Success for Romsey Tourist Information Centre

Despite the unseasonably British weather, Romsey Tourist Information Centre staff had plenty to smile about in the rain. Celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the Tourist Information Centre window display won a “Special Certificate for Best Dressed Window”.

2012 Bumper Summer in Surrey

Tourism in Surrey looks set for a bumper summer; more than 20 Olympic teams have signed up to train and prepare in Surrey, prompting a recent surge in hotel bookings. Diana Roberts from Guildford Tourist Information Centre said “We had 55 per cent more enquiries in January and February compared to the same period last year and visits to our website were also up 34 per cent.”


Petersfield TIC Celebrates Diamond Jubilee

Members of the Petersfield Tourist Information Centre team were proud to be part of Petersfield’s stunning day of festivities marking the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Lightbox Volunteers receive The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

The Lightbox gallery and museum in Woking have announced that its loyal team of volunteers has received the coveted Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service for their ongoing dedication and commitment to The Lightbox. This is the highest award (the equivalent of an MBE) given to volunteer groups across the UK for outstanding work in their local communities.
