“One of our conditions in taking over the running of The White Horse Hotel was to get a quality assurance rating. This was instrumental in understanding what needed to be done to improve the quality of the hotel.
After implementing the recommendations, we were recently awarded a 4* rating (increased from 3*), together with two rosettes for our restaurant. We have already seen a significant interest in bookings since being awarded the four stars, and in the three years since we took over, our trade has more than trebled with occupancy now over 80%.
Having a quality assurance rating also enabled us to become members of Tourism South East who we have found to be very supportive – earlier this year, we were involved in their ‘Time for Us’ campaign to promote the Test Valley, and received a terrific review from the Sunday Telegraph – all great marketing and PR for our hotel.”
