This is an unprecedented year of opportunity with the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, The Diamond Jubilee, the continued ‘staycation’ effect and a host of internationally recognised anniversaries including Dickens’ bi-centenary, Titanic centenary and 50 years of Bond which is being
celebrated at Beaulieu.

Tourism South East’s (TSE) experienced team is committed to supporting member businesses, so that you can take advantage, by providing a first-class experience for visitors in 2012. We will be doing this by delivering individual business support and opportunities to connect with each other, leading training and research programmes, highly successful national and international marketing campaigns, alongside delivery of an established group travel programme including the most popular group travel exhibition, ExcursionsTM.

SEEDA’s funding of TSE’s 2012 projects over the last three years has left a legacy of investment in international markets, business tourism and Welcome training courses. We have also built a strong relationship with key partners such as Gatwick Airport, helping them achieve their ambition of becoming the most welcoming airport in the UK.  This has included iconic imagery from the South East, along with the development of a tourism website for Gatwick Airport linking to key partner websites such as visitsoutheastengland.com. TSE will be re-launching the Beautiful South website in the spring with new search functionality and an area dedicated to business tourism for meetings and conference venues.

TSE is also playing an important and complementary role as a provider of support, coordination, economies of scale and expertise to the emerging structure of Destination Marketing Partnerships (DMP’s) and Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP’s). TSE will be working together with these organisations to promote the South East by offering a range of local, regional and national opportunities for tourism and leisure-related businesses, and your Business Development Executive will be working hard to ensure that we achieve maximum benefit for you, our members.
