Overview
Tourism South East set up the southeastoffers.com website in January 2009 as part of the Winning in Recession marketing campaign. The website has been developed to offer visitors in the region great value for money offers for short breaks and days out.
Although the Winning in Recession marketing campaign has now ended, Tourism South East continues to run the southeastoffers.com website due to its success. The website has had over 49,000 visits between April 2009 and April 2010.
An evaluation in to the Winning in Recssion campaign and South East Offers website showed that a third of website visitors downloaded vouchers and 49% of vouchers were used, typically within a month. 67% of those visiting considered the discounts and offers to be ‘very important’ or ‘quite important’ in influencing their decision. 2 for 1 offers came out top and 69% of respondents indicating that they were highly likely to use these.
The southeastoffers website has been promoted through national newspapers including The Telegraph, The Guardian and the Evening Standard and online forum such as Moneysavingexpert.com and theprizefinder.com
