Case Studies
Gosport:
Tourism South East have been working closely with Gosport Borough Council since 1993. Our role is to provide the Gosport Tourism Officer Function in addition to delivering their annual marketing plan. The marketing plan includes the production and distribution of the Discover Gosport Visitor Guide, input on the Discover Gosport website, exhibition planning, booking of advertising and PR support. The Tourism Officer role varies enormously from providing administration and support at the quarterly Steering Group and Tourism Forum meetings, to coordinating entrants in the Hampshire Hospitality Awards, or assisting Gosport Borough Council to judge a student competition at a local University.
New Forest Tourism Association:
Tourism South East has been working with the New Forest Tourism Association since 2006 providing administration of their membership. The role includes administration of their assessment scheme, new members, annual subscription renewal, AGM, Member’s Day and a twice yearly newsletter. In addition there is a dedicated NFTA phone line and email which services member enquiries in addition to distributing meeting agendas and minutes, security alerts and media opportunities to the association’s membership.
Test Valley:
A new contract in 2009, Test Valley Borough Council approached Tourism South East to produce their visitor guide after it was decided to discontinue the Hampshire’s Countryside guide in which they had previously featured. As a brand new guide this was an exciting project as there were no guidelines as to how the guide should look. The guide although initially planned as a 20 page publication exceeded all expectations increasing to 28 pages with a fresh contemporary finish.
