Tourism South East is the lead body responsible for the collection and management of product data held within the regional Destination Management System (DMS).
In order to ensure that potential visitors to the region have access to accurate visitor information, Tourism South East has a dedicated data management team that work with local data stewards to maintain the data held within the regional DMS.
What is the regional Destination Management System (DMS)?
The regional Destination Management System is a complete database for storing tourism related information including all quality assured accommodation, tourist attractions and events across the South East.
The role of the DMS is to assist the tourism industry in South East England collect and distribute information in the most cost effective manner and it is a key part of Tourism South East’s online strategy.
Data Collection
The key principle of the DMS is that data is collected once by the relevant data steward and distributed to the channels outlined below. Across the South East there are a number of data stewards responsible the management of data held with the DMS. Where are my establishments details distributed?
The regional DMS provides a number of opportunities to promote your business to a wide range of tourism and non-tourism channels to drive additional traffic to your website and help you reach new audiences including:-

- Relevant Tourist Information Centre
- Visit Britain
- Enjoy England
- Tom Tom Satellite Navigation Systems
