Welcome to the area of our website dedicated to Sussex, this is where you’ll find the latest news and what’s going.

Sussex Events

Our hugely popular networking events provide excellent opportunities for you to meet other local members, share experiences and develop new strategic relationships. You are encouraged to bring any literature that others can take to share with their own guests and visitors. The events are free for members to attend but prior registration is essential due to high demand for places. (Non-members are welcome to attend at a cost of £5 to cover catering.)

We are always looking for interesting venues for these events and members welcome the opportunity to showcase their venue. If you would be interested in hosting a networking event, please contact us.

Here are just a few of them: Hotel du Vin & Bistro BrightonCJ's Campers, Jerwood Gallery, Spring Barn Farm and the Horse and Groom in Chichester.

Most recently, environmentally friendly self-catering accommodation provider Little Marshfoot joined TSE, Kathryn Dewhurst commented: "You've given me great support and advice.  It is great to know that there is someone dedicated to looking after Sussex businesses."

New Gatwick Website

From ‘A Few Hours’ to ‘Stay a little longer’ as well as one and two-day trip ideas, the new aroundgatwick.com website promises to inspire visitors to discover the rich cultural offerings within easy striking distance of the airport’s doorstep. Gardens, castles, vineyards and museums all make up the content of the new site, which highlights the attractions of neighbouring Sussex and Surrey but also enables users to explore the rest of the South East through a series of itineraries.

TSE project managed the site development and feel that the website will have a significant benefit for passengers and tourism businesses in the region. Managing Director, Peter Colling said: “We are delighted to be working with Gatwick Airport on a range of initiatives to improve the welcome for visitors and encourage them to experience the fantastic range of cultural and heritage attractions that the region offers.”

Developing Local Knowledge

Welcome to the South Downs - The South Downs has long been a place of tranquillity, recreation and escape both for local people and visitors. It is also Britain’s newest National Park.  It is its geology, landscape, wildlife and cultural heritage that make it special, and they explain why it attracts around 40 million day visits per year. The South Downs appeals to food lovers, culture seekers and outdoor enthusiasts because of its variety of special qualities.  With a large population living within one hours drive of the park it is essential that tourism continues both to support the rural economy and provide a sustainable experience for all of its visitors.  This training course equips participants with a greater appreciation and understanding of the South Downs and helps deliver a high quality experience for all its customers.

Courses can be organised (minimum of 12 participants) for tourism groups, local businesses and destination partners.  To find out more about these courses or register your interest in organising a course please contact the training team.
