Excellent event and great venue. The content of the training seminar was really useful and at the appropriate level. Rachel Gander, Winchester City Council

Just to say thank you for organising this session yesterday and to say I found it extremely beneficial. It has made me think in a very different way about sending and receiving emails. In particular in putting a plan in process, subject headings and super subjects appropriate to personal devises! We touched on the legal aspects and best practise regarding emails and I was unaware of the new legislation coming into force and so I found this information very helpful. Sussex Top Attractions

Developing Local Knowledge

By working with our partners we have tailored our customer care training courses to incorporate the development of local knowledge.

Welcome to the New Forest - The New Forest has been one of England’s most popular escapes from everyday life for tourists for over 100 years. Its people are naturally welcoming and like sharing the wonders of the forest with visitors. Because of this and the quality of the tourism offer, visitors become very loyal and return regularly. Tourism is therefore a very important source of local jobs and income so continual improvement is needed to compete in an ever growing worldwide marketplace.  A partnership with New Forest District Council & New Forest Tourism has enabled us to create a course that will enable participants to learn about the unique history, heritage and culture that has shaped the forest over many centuries.

Welcome to Portsmouth - Portsmouth is a world class waterfront destination, and the city wants to ensure that it offers a world class welcome to match. Every visitor to the city should have an experience that surpasses their expectations, ensuring they not only visit again but spread the word to their friends and family. Tourism is incredibly important to Portsmouth’s economy, generating £375m in visitor spend each year and supporting almost 7,500 jobs.  Each person who participates in Welcome to Portsmouth contributes to the future success of Portsmouth’s visitor economy.

Welcome to the South Downs - The South Downs has long been a place of tranquillity, recreation and escape both for local people and visitors. It is also Britain’s newest National Park.
It is its geology, landscape, wildlife and cultural heritage that make it special, and they explain why it attracts around 40 million day visits per year. The South Downs appeals to food lovers, culture seekers and outdoor enthusiasts because of its variety of special qualities.  With a large population living within one hours drive of the park it is essential that tourism continues both to support the rural economy and provide a sustainable experience for all of its visitors.  This training course equips participants with a greater appreciation and understanding of the South Downs and helps deliver a high quality experience for all its customers.

Courses can be organised (minimum of 12 participants) for tourism groups, local businesses and destination partners.  To find out more about these courses or register your interest in organising a course please contact the training team.
