This is where you’ll find the latest news and what’s going on with, and for, our members and partners in Hampshire.
Hampshire Events
Our hugely popular networking events provide excellent opportunities for you to meet other local members, share experiences and develop new strategic relationships. You are encouraged to bring any literature that others can take to share with their own guests and visitors. The events are free for members to attend but prior registration is essential due to high demand for places. (Non-members are welcome to attend at a cost of £5 to cover catering.)
We are always looking for interesting venues for these events and members welcome the opportunity to showcase their venue; De Vere Venues - New Place, The Montagu Arms, SeaCity Museum and Southampton Solent University have all recently hosted networking events. If you would be interested in hosting a networking event, please email Marietta.
The most recent event was held in September at the Hawk Conservancy Trust. 45 delegates joined this great evening which started with an opportunity to network in the fabulous new Feathers Restaurant generously sponsored by Test Valley Borough Council, whilst enjoying a glass of wine and some tasty nibbles, before being treated to a spectacular flying display. Further details and presentations given at the event can be found in the member/partner area.
New Members
We have nearly 50 new members from across Hampshire that have joined TSE so far this year, including G! Boutique Hotel, Langrish House and Forest Leisure Cycling. The G! Boutique Hotel is a brand new business in Southsea and we have all been following their story with interest - take a look at their blog.
Here's what some of our new members have said since joining TSE:
“I'm really pleased with what you've done for us ... traffic from your site is strong already... We couldn't be more pleased with what you've done for us ” Mark Kirtley, Managing Director - Forest Leisure Cycling
"Marwell Hotel has only been a member of TSE for a few months but we are already benefitting from some fantastic opportunities, both in terms of the PR available and particularly savings from the Barclaycard scheme – this more than pays for the membership itself! Being part of TSE has increased my contacts and networking opportunities, which is key for my line of business. It’s great to have the extra support and for the area to be working together to promote ourselves." Charlotte Troester, Business Development Manager - Marwell Hotel
Langrish House and Marwell Hotel are both members of the Visit Winchester and the Heart of Hampshire Destination Management Partnership (DMP). If your business is based in the Winchester borough or East Hampshire then click here to find out more about the DMP.

Developing Local Knowledge
By working with our partners we have tailored our customer care training courses to incorporate the development of local knowledge.
Welcome to the New Forest - The New Forest has been one of England’s most popular escapes from everyday life for tourists for over 100 years. Its people are naturally welcoming and like sharing the wonders of the forest with visitors. Because of this and the quality of the tourism offer, visitors become very loyal and return regularly. Tourism is therefore a very important source of local jobs and income so continual improvement is needed to compete in an ever growing worldwide marketplace. A partnership with New Forest District Council & New Forest Tourism has enabled us to create a course that will enable participants to learn about the unique history, heritage and culture that has shaped the forest over many centuries.
Courses can be organised (minimum of 12 participants) for tourism groups, local businesses and destination partners. To find out more about these courses or register your interest in organising a course please contact the training team.
