The National Code of Practice for visitor attractions is run and administered by VisitEngland.

VisitEngland say that the code provides an opportunity for all attractions to declare their commitment to quality. The code contains age old undertakings such as providing accurate information to visitors and newer requirements such as recognition of sustainability issues which reflect recent changes.

The most important point to be recognised for visitor attractions is that VisitBritain restricts marketing of attractions including website listings and promotion to those who have registered their commitment to the code.
