The Tourism Policy makes reference to the Government's aim to reduce the Red Tape that burdens the industry.

One of the current issues being faced is that hotels, holiday parks and other venues could see a dramatic increase in tariffs for ‘specially featured entertainment’ (such as fairs, festivals and functions where a DJ plays recorded music) if PPL proposals go ahead.  TSE has been lobbying hard on the issue and is urging businesses to get involved in the consultation process which is open until 14 October 2011.  A Government website has been set up to consult with the industry.
