According to the United Kingdom Tourism Survey, just over 2 million overnight trips were made by or accompanied by someone with a disability in 2009, contributing £339,000,000 to the South East visitor economy.
The following reports provide interesting facts and figures on accessibility:
- The Department for Culture, Media and Sport commissioned Quality Fieldwork and Research Services to undertake a survey of disabled people in December 2009/January 2010 to research views about the services provided by accommodation providers and attractions, businesses and transport operators.
