Jeanette Howse BEM, Business Development Executive for Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxon
Jeanette was presented with the Award for the Best Networker at Wantage Business Breakfast annual Awards on Wednesday 20th April. The award ceremony was held at Williams F1 Conference Centre in Grove Oxfordshire. Jeanette was voted Best Networker by the Wantage Business Breakfast Club Members.
Jeanette Howse has been Business Development Executive for Berks Bucks and Oxon since October 2007 having previously worked at Didcot Railway Centre for 25 years where she was Marketing Executive and previously at BBC Radio London. Jeanette's role at Didcot included organising monthly events such as Thomas The Tank Engine, Victorian Days and Railway Experience Days. She also promoted the Railway Centre via radio/tv and local media ensuring that Didcot Railway Centre was one of the largest attractions in Oxfordshire.
Jeanette's experience of events and media has been useful when helping TSE members in their businesses to promote themselves. Including Mapledurham at War (Mapledurham House) MG Live (MG Car Club) Manor Festival of Food and Drink , Easter Eggstravaganza and Wedding Fayre ( The Manor Country House Hotel) Wedding and Gift Fair (Green Dragon Rare Breeds and Eco Centre)
Jeanette also organises Didcot's Christmas Street Fair Craft Fair and other craft and food events. Jeanette organises networking events in the three counties and has been involved in familiarisation tours for both members and journalist. A regular contributor to Radio Oxford and Radio Berkshire with your stories, events and achievements.
In January 2015 Jeanette was honoured with a British Empire medal (BEM), the award recognises Jeanette’s outstanding dedication to tourism over the past 25 years, please click here to view the press release, Jeanette has also won the Wantage & District Business Breakfast Club Best Speaker Award for her Tourism South East presentation on meeting the media, the event took place on the 22ndof April 2015 and was held at the Williams F1 conference centre.
